There’s more than one way to chill out. Fill a festive pool float with frozen water balloons to keep your drinks cold and your party cool. (And as the afternoon heats up, your balloon fight arsenal will be melted and ready to go.)

NOTE: Freeze your balloons overnight so they’re ready to go day of.

What You’ll Need:

  • Water Balloons
  • Circular pool float
  • Beach towels

How To:

Step 1 Fill balloons about 3/4 full with water and tie closed. Make as many as you need to fill your pool float’s center, and place them in a bowl or pan in your freezer. (Be sure the balloons are dry on the outside so they don’t freeze together.) Freeze until frozen.

Step 2 Blow up pool float.

Step 3 If the hole in your float goes all the way through, lay a couple of beach towels down to fill up space and line the bottom of your “cooler.”

Step 4 Fill hole about 3/4 full with “ice balloons.” Replenish as they melt.

Step 5 Fill in the rest of the “cooler” with drinks.
