Make a grad party even sweeter by serving chocolate-candy-and-cookie “graduation caps” that also make the cutest cake toppers.
What You’ll Need:
- Chocolate Chips (or Melting Chocolate)
- Chocolate Covered Oreos
- Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers
- Pull and Peel Twizzlers
- Strawberry Fruit by the Foot
- Brown Mini M&Ms
- Scissors
How To:
Step 1 Make cookie “caps.” Melt chocolate chips (or any melting chocolate) in a microwave or double boiler to create “glue.” Put a large dot of the melted chocolate in the middle of each Oreo, then top with a graham cracker. Set cookie “cap” aside to cool and set.
Step 2 Make tassel strings. Pull a Twizzler apart into individual strands, cut strands into 4” long pieces, and pinch one end of each flat.
Step 3 Make tassel fringes. Unroll Fruit by the Foot and cut into 2” strips. Using scissors, cut fringe into the long side of each Fruit by the Foot strip about halfway up, as shown. Create tassels by rolling a Fruit by the Foot strip around the end of each Twizzler strand.
Step 3 Place another dot of melted chocolate in the center of the graham cracker at the top of each “cap.” Press the flattened edge of one Twizzler strand into the melted chocolate, topping with more melted chocolate “glue” and a mini brown M&M. Place one or more “caps” on top of a cake, or make a trayful to serve.
