Our printable, downloadable cherry place cards are a sweet addition to a dinner party. They read Mon Cheri and Ma Cherie (the masculine and feminine forms of My Dear in French), followed by a blank for each guest’s name. It’s a fun way to let your friends know how dear to you they are! They can also be used as sweet notes for your dear, gift tags on top of presents, or slipped into goodie bags at birthday parties or welcome bags at weddings.
The same cute cherries that dress up the placecards decorate our Cherry Icebreaker Game, which is fun for a dinner party, or to play at a picnic, birthday party, holiday, or any time you like! Download our printable cards that read “Life is a bowl of cherries because…” and ask everyone to fill them out anonymously. You may see results such as:
- Life is a bowl of cherries…because we get to spend it together
- Life is a bowl of cherries…because I just graduated!
- Life is a bowl of cherries…because summer is here!
- Life is a bowl of cherries…because I’m in love!
- Life is a bowl of cherries…because I got a clean bill of health/ an A on my test/ a promotion
Once everyone has finished filling in their card with what’s in their hearts and on their minds, ask them to drop the cards into a bowl—without letting anyone else see what they’ve written. Pull out the cards one by one, reading each answer out loud and guessing who wrote what!
When you’re done with the game, you have sweet souvenirs of a fun time spent together. Guests can take home their own, or, if the event is a bridal shower, engagement party, birthday party, graduation party, or other get-together with an honoree, the hosts can make a scrapbook out of the answer cards.
