A cake covered in candies turns it from a dessert into a centerpiece. You can use a number-shaped pan to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, but even a simple round rectangle cake is a showstopper when decorated like this.
What You’ll Need
- An iced cake
- Enough candy to cover the cake
- (or choose lots of different candies all in one color or one type of candy in a rainbow of colors)
Step 1 Set out candies you want to decorate your cake with (gummy bears in a rainbow of colors here)
Step 2 Place candies on your frosted cake in rows, a pattern or just any which way until the entire thing is covered. Start from the center and work out from there.
Step 3 To cover with gummies like shown here, use scissors to trim gummies for the corners.
